This phase follows the implementation
plan laid out with the customer during the analysis
phase and involves several steps:
• Configuration: we are dedicated to provide
customers with out-of-the-box software that do not
require lengthy and expensive developments to meet
requirements. The configuration phase consists in
adjusting the interface to meet the specifications
designed in the analysis phase. Our goal is for end-users
to feel that they are working with their own
application, specifically designed to meet their needs;
• Solution integration into the client’s
Information System (IS). We recommend that all solutions
be integrated in the customer’s master IS so that they
can complement and “feed” each others. We have acquired
over several projects experience wiht many interface
technologies, may it be SQL links, Web Services, flat
files, ORBs, etc… to easily connect the various
components of your IS.
• Deployment is an important and often neglected
step that needs to be organized with the customer’ IT
group as follow:
-
Design of the technical
architecture document that will describe the
platform architecture;
-
Three environments are usually
installed for the purpose of the project:
o Development environment;
o Acceptance environment that will allow the customer to review
work
performed before it goes in production;
o Production environment that will includes the live database;
-
Profile design and user access
that will set the rights for each group of users;
• Post-production: when the
solution goes “live” all users start to use it and, on-demand,
FMX Solutions can provide an on-site or off-site
resource that will help them start using the platform
and make the transition from the previous tool as smooth
and seamless as possible.
